holy hot!!!

Well on Wednesday last week Aaron and I were trying to think of someone to go with him to tiajuana, Mexico. His cousin was getting married in St. Goerge, Ut and i really didn't want to drag my two kids across the desert in 110 degree heat. But, we didn't want him to go to Mexico by himself. so at 9:30 p.m. we decided that we would all go and just take his mom with us. we would leave her in St. George with the kids and he and I would bomb it down to the border. So we did!

We left thursday at 5:30 p.m. after a mad scramble of thowing clothes, diapers, sunscreen, treats, and everything but shampoo, brushes, underwear and tylenol into the suitcase we headed for St. George. we arrived and checkinto out hotel at 2:00a.m and the next morning at 9:00 aftera quick "continental" breakfast. (continental must mean very little food and not very good at that) Aaron and I kissed our chitlins goodbye and hit the road. we made it to SanDiego at 5:00 and hopped the border to tiajuana. We made it the the little silver shop that we buy our bits and spurs and were so excited to get our order. the little hispanic lady pulled out "our" order piece by totally wrong piece. it was not our stuff. We were so mad that we came down for no reason and would have to wait for her to mail it to us (which she shoulda done in the first place.) she felt reall bad and wouldn't let us pay for any thing else we had picked out. She re-did the order and promised to send it asap. So we left the little shop with various "words" racing thorugh our minds and a little mariachi outfit (or charro) fro Lincoln and a chica dress for our little senorita. we hit afew clubs but just wern't in the mood for drinks girls and loud music. We crossed the border (without incident) and drove for a few more hours. We drove to Barstow and sank ino a hot hotel bed at 1:00. We cranked up the AC and hoped that we would be able to wake up the next morning.

This is one of our purchases in Feb. (we sell them on Ebay)

As 8:00 rolled around we drug each other out of bed and into the car yet again to get back to St. George for the wedding at 5:30. when we pulled in to our hotel in St. G. our kids were so excited to see us they almost looked up from the cartoons on T.V. to greet us.

We made it to the wedding just in time to see them say I do and almost got to see them walk down the isle together as married couple but Lincoln and Sari started to scream when i wouldn't let them go play outside. (110 degrees heat just didn't sound good to me) so we stayed as long a possible and tried to enjoy the few hours we had outside the car.

We did get to spend all day saturday just hanging out though so it got us ready for the 8 hour drive home on Sunday. Needless to say we are soo glad to be home and that home is in Idaho where everyday is a new season.

All I have to say is that next time we are going without the kids and Miranda, enjoy it while it lasts becouse in a few months you'll be doomed to stay home or listen to the screams from the back seat that mean "let me out of this *&#@# car seat!!"

Did you pick me up something good from Mexico?

For some reason your blog isn't working on my google reader so I just read this today. I guess I need to resubscribe!

Should we try to take the kids swimming this week?
