I have a lot of catching up to do!

Sari had her 3rd birthday on the 18th of March! Yay Sari. She figured since I made Lincoln the cake he wanted, (the red tractor cake) then she should get her favorite cake. Dora! Well I have to say as worried as I was about having to make her a Dora cake it was easier than the red tractor.

and if I might add, cuter too!

The other day we were at a restaurant and a little girl about Lincolns age came up and just started attacking him while we were in line. I just grabbed a hold of Lincoln and tucked him under my wing and shot the mean little girl (and her mother) a dirty look. The mother didn’t even bat an eyelash at me. ( she must not have seen her naughty little girl I told myself. We proceeded forward in the line and I left to get a high chair. That dang little girl ran right over to Lincoln and started attacking him again! This time His daddy saw it and grabbed the little girl and kinda pushed her away from him and hollered at her “hey hey hey” the mom finally took notice of what was going on and did take her Childs hand. (finally! Keep a hold of your pit bull woman!) Jeesh! We get to our table and Aaron has been coaching Lincoln on what to do in that situation. …

“Now son, Don’t ever let anyone hit you! But if they do hit you, hit em right back! Don’t ever let anyone bully you! Especially an little girl!”

I sat there and listened to that little conversation and wanted to go over to that other mamma and give her a piece of my mind. But I decided not too. She might have a whole tribe of backup if you know what I mean.

The next day was Saturday and I was in my office at home when I heard Sari start screaming. 2 seconds later Lincoln comes in with a huge grin in is little face and he says “Mom, I smacked her!” My eyes got wide and I said “what?! Why?” He said “Well she hit me and you told me I should hit them back if they hit me first.”

Who was I to argue with that? So Sari, If you hit Lincoln be ready to get it right back.

I have been really going crazy since my nanny left. I thought it would be okay but then my secretary needed a few days off this week too. So I am right back where I was a year ago but the hard part is that my office isn’t simply in my home it is in town. So I have to answer phones and deal with clients and employees along with my kids needs. So after 3 interviews with possible nannies I have given up any hope of finding someone to help me out with this huge helping of stress I have created for myself.  I have been trying to figure out what would be best. I have 3 ideas.

#1 Find a sitter for three days?… No, My kids need me.

#2 How about I just make the back part of my office in town a bit nicer and the kids can stay there with me. Hmm well, that means I need to repair the ceiling (it is open to the outside and with the weather we have been having they might get snowed in) and buy some kind of floor covering. So… That really isn’t a great idea. It would cost more than it was worth for now.

#3 Hook up my camper outside my office.  The kids can have a place to  play and stay out of the road while I can still be at the office.  think we’ll go with option #3. Red neck as I am it seems to be the best fit.

I’ll have to let you know how three kids in a camper for three days goes. Should be exciting! If I don’t post for a few weeks you’ll know just how it went. You can probably visit me at Blackfoot South psychiatric Hospital.
