Good neighbors, good friends, Great family!

I have been lucky enough to have good neighnors who are generous with what they have. We plant corn for a guy and since we do we get to pickup whatever we want. It is tradition that we go pick corn and then come back to my house and bag and freeze it. It is usually an all day process with lots of yaking and gossiping and lots of messes. Well this year the guy that we planted for accidently sprayed chemical on it and therefor, no corn. But Aaron had also planted some over at his mom's so I wasn't too worried. Well I went down to pick some and it was all gone! every bit and even most of the stalks. I guess the cows had gotten out the night before and had a nice little midnight snack. So I guess word got out that I was wanting some sweet corn and my neighbor heard about it. She loaded me up with corn and thanks to her we get to eat it all year round. even better, Her mother even came and helped me put it all up. Well, then I get a caol a few days later from another neighbor who had a bunch of carrots. So my mom came down and helped or should i say did most of the work since I had to work most of the day. My mom helped me peel and cut about a zillion carrots and then when I had to leave she pressure cooked them for me. She even had the place cleaned up for me and watched my kids so I could work. Aren't moms great? Here is the fruit, err, I mean veggie of our labors. Thanks mom!
