Whew!

I took Austin to his appt. with the audiologist and all is well. He can hear in the normal hearing range. We are so glad. He is doing well and growing fast. Thanks for the many prayers which I'm so glad we answered.

Another wonderful thing is that Lincoln celebrated his 3rd b-day. Yea! He is out of the terrible two's. Now we move to the fearsome threesomes. Greaaat! My mother gave me a book after she called 3-4 times and I was in tears after refereeing my 2-yr old and 1-yr old's boxing matches. it's called "Love and Logic for Early Childhood Practical Parenting from birth to Six years" So far after reading the first 10 pages I'd recommend it to anyone experiencing a feeling of failure in the discipline department. It is nice to read an entertaining book that teaches at the same time.

Oh yea, about Lincoln's b-day. I was busy all day with work and so i finally tore away from the computer at 4:00 to make a cake. since it took 30 min to bake and an hour to frost i finished just in time for the party to start at 5:30.

I wrapped his gifts as we chatted with our family that came. He got spoiled by everyone. Thank you all for the great gifts! He loves to tell me who gave him what " gramma gave me this" and "Trevor gave me this" and my favorite "Mom, You didn't get me anything did you?" I think to myself, " hmm, well the hour to frost a tractor cake was definitely worth it for a 3yr old." Next year maybe I'll just let him decorate the cake. That outta be fun!
