I learned somethong today. Or re-learned it

Sunday at church I was reminded of a book I read once about how every person has a "Love Language" I was reminded by this when I heard a friend say how it was so neat that her husband gave her a massage for V-day because he hates to do that. In this book it talks about how everyone expresses love in different ways. Some (me) are touchy feely and hug and write notes and talk about it while others may not say it all the time but will do things for another person like start their car when it is cold out.
I thought for valentines day I would be all romantic and write 100 reasons I loved my husband. I typed it all out and gave it too him. He smiled and got a goofy grin that told me that he did not have the same love language4 as I did. But oh well. he got it anyway. So for all you out there that do not share the same "Love language" as your spouse, try to look at what theirs is and it may help you to understand why they didn't react the way you thought they should. Don't be offended, just try to figure out what theirs is and learn how to express your love to them in their language as well as yours.
So kudos the my friend's husband for setting an example for the rest of us. I learned something today.

So funny that you mentioned love laungages. I just borrowed the book from my sister-in-law and just barely put it down to read blogs. I am almost done so I will call you tomorrow for the book review.
