The power of imagination!!

Yesterday, my wonderful little kids demonstrated how vivid the imagination can be. We are always looking at books and if there is a picture of food in it we "eat it" I will pick it up and hand it to Sari who in turn takes a big bite and hands it to Lincoln. Well they do this all the time. They make up all sorts of things like a four wheeler or a milkshake or anything at all. So they are playing nicely in the living room and I was quietly feeding Austin in the ricking chair. Lincoln had something in his hand and Sari grabbed it and tried to eat it. Lincoln tried to snatch it back and missed. Sari made a break for the kitchen with it still "in" her hand but didn't get very far before Lincoln tackled her and while screaming at her he proceeded to wrench it from her tiny little fist. Sari was wailing and kicking trying to get him off of her but still wouldn't let got of whatever it was. I decided that I should step in . I tried to get their attention but before I could stop them from fighting Lincoln had finally pried Sari's fist open and got what ever it was from her. Sari started to bawl and then chased after him as he streaked for the couch. I caught Sari as she flew after Lincoln. She was so mad that she was forgetting to breathe. I told her she could have mine. I held out my fist and dropped nothing into her hand but would you believe it worked! she was so happy to have whatever it was and took a big bite. Lincoln then decided that mine was better than his and came over for a bite of my fist full of nothing.
So never under estimate the power of imagination. If you imagine it so then it can be.
I absolutely love being a mom again!!!

I love the new family pictures that are on your last post! So cute.

And I did a double take at the pictures of you, Sari & Linoln. I didn't realize how old it was and I was wondering why you had a headband on poor Austin. :)

That is a hilarious story. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll have to start doing something like that with Malachi.

BTW We haven't moved yet...we're still going to be in Vegas only in a house and not an apartment. I'm so excited for the fenced in yard I could just scream in excitement!! We're moving Memorial Day weekend :(, it's going to be a fast move and we're driving back to Idaho as soon as we're done moving. I will be glad for a little vacation.
Hope you're doing well. Hugs to your kids.
